Undergraduates Blair and Salyers recognized as top Clark School Ambassadors

Last week two FPE juniors, Alyson Blair and Brian Salyers, were recognized as top Clark School Ambassadors. The fifty Clark School Ambassadors facilitate the goal of actively recruiting the most talented high school students interested in engineering through classroom visits and programs with prospective students. Blair and Salyers visit high schools to discuss the opportunities in engineering, host students in class, participate in student panels, and promote the Clark School and their experiences throughout the many Ambassador programs.

In recognition of her extensive contributions to the program, Blair received one of the three top Ambassador scholarships of $1000. This award recognized her significant contributions to the program; Aly had over 60 volunteer hours. Salyers was recognized as one of the top 10 Ambassadors. FPE in particular benefited from their participation, as confirmation numbers and the number of incoming women increased for the incoming class of 2009.
